The Biewer Terrier is a relatively new breed of toy dog that originated in Germany in the 1980s. The breed was created by a German couple, Werner and Gertrude Biewer, who bred Yorkshire Terriers with recessive genes that produced unique tri-colored puppies with a white base. The Biewer Terrier was recognized as a distinct breed by the American Kennel Club in 2021, after being bred selectively for many years. The breed is known for its playful and affectionate personality, and its long, silky hair that requires regular grooming.
Our love affair with the Biewer Terrier began in 2008 when they were still recognized as a variety of the Yorkshire Terrier. We were determined to obtain the finest specimens of the breed and thus embarked on a quest to acquire them from the top kennels in Europe producing Champions Biewers. The parents of our Biewer puppies have been carefully chosen for their outstanding conformation and temperament. As a result, the puppies they produce are excellent representatives of their breed.
